Why Locals Love Faim
Nestled in the vibrant heart of London’s NW1 district, Faim is much more than your typical coffee shop – it’s a thoughtfully curated haven where quality, comfort, and community effortlessly converge. Located at 26 Tolmer's Square, this chic venue strikes a perfect balance between contemporary design and warm hospitality, making it an inviting spot for everything from casual coffee breaks to lively group gatherings.
Step inside and you’ll immediately sense the refined yet relaxed atmosphere, a product of the elegant yet understated décor carefully crafted by Punch. The space is bright and welcoming, equipped with fast, free WiFi that makes it a popular spot among professionals and remote workers alike. A private, sectioned-off area adds a layer of versatility, perfect for meetings, events, or intimate celebrations – a feature that truly sets Faim apart from your average coffee stop.
While the coffee itself garners plenty of praise – smooth and expertly brewed, ideal for savoring alongside a good book or lively conversation – Faim’s kitchen delivers an impressive range of British-inspired dishes that cater to all tastes. Whether you’re craving the crisp, golden British chicken schnitzel served with garlic butter and skin-on chips, or the comforting classic of beer-battered fish & chips with minted mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce, the menu strikes a satisfying chord between tradition and flavor.
Vegetarian diners will appreciate options like the grilled goat’s cheese paired with a refreshing Waldorf salad, hazelnuts, and a drizzle of thyme honey, or the wild mushroom bourguignon pie served alongside seasonal greens and roasted roots—a vegetarian twist full of deep, earthy richness. Those seeking hearty, satisfying fare will find delight in the steak frites enhanced by garlic butter or the British, organic steak & ale pie crowned with mash and buttered cavolo nero. Each dish is crafted with care, delivering hearty textures and layers of flavor that feel both familiar and inspired.
Offering a selection of sides such as skin-on chips, garlic & cream potato gratin, and roasted heritage beetroot with feta, Faim also caters to the details that make comfort food truly memorable. And no meal is complete without indulgence—the puddings, including a rich chocolate pot topped with pistachio brittle, a gooey chocolate brownie with vanilla ice cream, or the traditional sticky toffee pudding served with vanilla ice cream, provide a perfect sweet finale.
Guests repeatedly highlight the exceptional hospitality here. From the warm welcomes to the professionalism that shines through during larger events—such as the well-executed 50-person Christmas dinner noted by a grateful customer—Faim clearly takes pride in its attentive, approachable staff. The atmosphere manages to feel both effortlessly casual and carefully polished, making it a rare gem where you can pause from the hustle and bustle only a few minutes’ walk from Euston.
This is a place where quality coffee, thoughtfully prepared food, and a welcoming setting combine to create something truly special. Whether you’re grabbing a quick caffeine boost, settling in for a hearty lunch, or hosting an important work event, Faim promises a memorable experience rooted in genuine care and culinary craftsmanship.

As the photos show "Faim" is a chic coffee bar Exquisitely decorated inside to a very high standard by Punch only a few years ago, this fantastic venue also boasts a private sectioned off area which is used as a meeting / event room that can be hired for private functions...(see photo for hire rates) Nb: As people were in this area I couldn't take photos on this visit Faim is adjoined with and owned by the same landlords as The Square Tavern next door this unique meeting hub is a real hidden gem, inside the very peaceful pedestrian area of Tolmer's Square... Serving a variety of menu options throughout the day... Opens from 8.30am during the week. Staff are friendly and welcoming Great coffee Thank You

The guy said they took over as the new owner(s) a few weeks ago. The coffee was nice, WiFi was strong, the venue was lovely, the toilet was in good condition, and hospitality was excellent. Their chef was off sick, so didn’t try any food. It is a gem if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle in the Euston area. I hope the trade will keep them going.

We hosted our work christmas dinner at FAIM (n=50) and it was wonderful. Liga was brilliant at helping us get organised and getting all our pre-orders together, a really helpful and wonderful port of call for herding the cats. Then on the day, every single staff member was brilliant - really professional but friendly; great attention to detail; and even helping smooth over when I had absolutely messed up someone's order. I really am so grateful and we had the best time. We had a celiac and a nut-free individual in our party and the options for them were actually outstanding. Also, the dinners were absolutely banging - really really good food regardless of what you ordered. We'd love to come back again next year :)

We hosted our work Christmas dinner at FAIM Coffee Shop and The Square Tavern on 05 Dec 2025, and the experience couldn’t have been better. The team was outstanding, from start to finish. The food came out hot for all 32 guests, and the service was genuinely first class. Every detail felt looked after, from the decorations, food, and music. The communication within the FAIM team made planning the event easy, and they were quick to confirm requests and accommodate everything we needed, including vegetarian, halal, and other dietary requirements. We couldn’t have asked for a better venue, meal, or evening, it made our work Christmas dinner feel truly special. Five stars without hesitation.

We have used this a few time for Team meetings - Wifi can be a pain, and the music often to load to be a true working space. The food is lovely. The staff could do with a little more customer service, we saw people seated and then once fed up of waiting, leave. And depending on who is staffing the bar you are not always assured a warm welcome.
